About Ronna
Ronna Rochell has been teaching yoga and fitness for more than 40 years and holds many certifications in both fields. She is a certified hatha yoga teacher, an ACE certified personal trainer, and a NETA certified group exercise instructor. She also has earned a NETA senior fitness specialty certification. Ronna earned her yoga certifications through two different yoga schools. In 1998, she was certified as a hatha yoga teacher through Master Yoga Academy. In 2008, she was certified as an Anusara yoga teacher. Ronna also is certified as an experienced registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500). She also has numerous trainings and certifications with various pilates schools. Ronna also is a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner. Along with deepening her journey through yoga and fitness, Ronna was a professional modern dancer performing with dance companies in Chicago and Minneapolis after earning her MFA in Dance in 1989 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Over the years, Ronna has taught fitness or yoga at many Twin Cities venues, including the YWCA, Minnesota Jewish Community Center, Star Tribune, and elsewhere. In 2010, Ronna co-founded a yoga studio with three other partners, the OM Collective, which operated for three years. Today, Ronna continues teaching yoga and fitness classes through her longtime business, BodyWisdom, which she founded in 1998. She currently is teaching Yoga, Fitness Barre, and Core Strength classes. Presently, Ronna dedicates her life to bringing yoga and fitness into every aspect of her life, from teaching, to her marriage, to being a mother of three sons. All of her life experience gives her unique perspective on the body’s optimal health, expression, and alignment. Ronna is an enthusiastic teacher who inspires her students with her playful yet serious approach to her classes. Ronna invites her students to step into their own truth, deepening their place of connection of mind, body, and spirit. |
